SAMUEL D'AMICO

In 2022 I managed a Waukesha School Board campaign and we
unseated a Conservative Incumbent, won an 8-way primary, and only came 400 votes short of beating a WISRED endorsed candidate. I am the only candidate with the experience of running in republican areas, and winning in republican areas.

"I'm running for State Assembly, because I know I can flip this
seat, and be a fighting-partner for Governor Evers in Madison."

 - Samuel D'Amico

I'm not a politician-- far from it. My name is Samuel D'Amico, and I'm a middle-class Wisconsinite, great-grandson of a WW2 veteran, and third generation Italian American.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a police officer, bus driver, teacher, and work with computers. I felt and knew when I grew up, I could do and be anything.

I decided to run for State Assembly, because I feel that sense of optimism is slowly drifting away from children, and their parents. It's becoming more difficult, more expensive and more indecisive to get ahead and prosper.

My mother raised my sister, and I, as a single mother in Waukesha, and I've lived here my entire life. I am and will forever be grateful for the opportunities that our community have given me. I am running for State Assembly to give back to the community that gave so much to me.

I was educated in Waukesha's quality public schools, I learned some of my most significant life lessons, and met some of my highest role models, thus far. I believe a quality education is the greatest deterrence of crime and poverty, and the most successful tool of opportunity and excelleration for our next generation.

As State Representative, my goal for our future is enshrined in my devoted optimism for our children, my sense and desire for the hardworking people of our state to get ahead, and the courage to do the right things, and fight the right fights.

WHETHER IT WAS BOOK BANS, SCHOOL CLOSURES, LUNCH PROGRAMS, OR LGBTQ VISIBILITY AND RIGHTS-- I DIDN'T BACK DOWN TO THE WAUKESHA SCHOOL BOARD, AND I WON'T BACK DOWN IN THE STATE LEGISLATURE.

- LED THE EFFORT AGAINST CLOSING WHITTIER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN 2022

- FORCED TRANSPARENCY WITHIN THE OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT AND SCHOOL BOARD, INCREASING PRESSURE FROM THE COMMUNITY

- ORGANIZED PROTESTS AND RALLIES SUPPORTING SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM, ULTIMATELY FORCING THE BOARD OF EDUCATION TO OVERTURN THEIR DECISION

"WHILE WISRED CAN TARGET OUR SCHOOL BOARD WITH POLITICS-- AS A STUDENT AND COMMUNITY MEMBER, I FOUGHT FOR TO SUPPORT PUBLIC SCHOOLS, AND I ALWAYS WILL." - SAMUEL D'AMICO
